Chris Jones Risk Management specialises in developing company specific Occupational Health and Safety training programmes to meet the organisation's unique needs.

While public courses have their place, especially if only one or two people need to be trained, many organisations are better served by having a "tailor made" OHS training programme. The advantages include:

Time is not wasted on irrelevant content.
The course can be run in-house, cutting the cost of travel, and venue costs, and ensuring effective oversight of attendance.
The course material and case studies can be made industry specific.
Participants can learn to use company forms and procedures, and practice this training when undertaking exercises.
The organisations own technical staff can participate in the training, as a guest lecturer, to explain company policies and procedures in detail.
The NSW accredited courses allow for the material to be adapted to suit the particular needs of the industry or organisation.

Training Needs Analysis

A training needs analysis identifies the OHS training needs of your staff, and ensures that any statutory requirements are being met.

Chris Jones Risk Management can then develop the training needed to meet these needs, and help source appropriate suppliers if we are unable to provide that training.

OHS Training for Senior Managers and Directors

OHS starts at the top. More and more the regulators are showing a willingness to undertake prosecutions against managers and directors. The courts are responding by imposing hefty fines on companies, directors, and managers. In some jurisdictions penalties include imprisonment.

In as little as two hours we can deliver high impact training for your senior management and Directors on their OHS responsibilities, legislative compliance, and meeting their due diligence responsibilities.

In addition, we can now offer a half day work health and safety management team briefing suitable for all levels of management, supervision and your staff.

Approved Training - NSW

Chris Jones Risk Management is an approved training provider (ATP number HSR1031) for the approved Health and Safety Representatives training package and one day HSR refresher course.

Health and Safety Committee Training

The new WHS legislation requires organisations to provide WHS training to all "workers", but does not specify approved training for health and safety committees. If your HS committee is to make a meaningful contribution to your WHS programme, all committee members need to be trained.

We can develop and deliver custom made training for your health and safety committee, and have a two day HS Committee course that meets the needs of most organisations.

Supervisor Training

We can develop and deliver OHS training packages for your supervisors and line managers, to cover two days, one day, or half a day, based upon our highly successful "What every supervisor should know" training course.

Employee Training

We can develop and deliver employee OHS training on a wide range of topics including custom made training for your workers - employees, sub-contractors and volunteers.

"Rainy Day Training"

In response to demand from clients in the construction industry we have developed a series of short, punchy, stand alone, training sessions on a wide range of topics, suitable for supervisors, safety representatives, employees and sub-contractors.

It doesn't have to be raining to conduct these training sessions, and most are suitable for any industry.
